Frequently Asked Questions
Our Best Answers
Where can I park?
There's plenty free on-street parking just a minutes' walk form The Nest - try Gibraltar Road (just beyond the entrance to the Lidl carpark), St Ansrews Street (beyond Dalkeith Medican Centre) or Elmfield Park.
If you're popping in for a shop before or after class you can park at Lidl (max stay 90 minutes) or Morrisons (max 3 hours)... both just a minute's walk.
There's also free parking in the council-run car parks on St Andrews Street and North Wynd, although these may return to being paid-for-after-1st-hour parking in 2022.
If you're coming to an evening or weekend class then you have the added option of onstreet parking on the streets around The Nest, and you can also use the carpark behind Midlothian Council HQ on Buccleuch Street all weekend with no time limits.
Can I get to you by bus?
Yes, Lothian buses 3, 48, 49 and 139 are all regular services, and all stop just behind The Nest - literally 30 seconds walk from the front door.
Is there space to leave my buggy?
Yes, The Nest has a secure area just inside the door for buggies to be left during classes.
Is The Nest accessible and / or wheelchair friendly?
There are no steps into the Nest, and a wide door. Within the main building (which is accessed directly from our space, again with no steps) there are toilets, including accessible toilets, and a baby change.
Is there somewhere to feed or change my baby?
Yes, if you are attending a class at the Nest, there is a dedicated baby change area, and we are of course, feeding friendly, and will support you in any way you need to feed your baby in our space.
Which of your classes is best suited for me?
Yikes, thats a big question. If you're looking at everything we have to offer and don't quite know where to start, drop us a wee message below in the contact form and let us know roughly what you're looking for, and we'll give you some suggestions :)
Can I book a private class?
Most of our weekly classes and workshops can also be booked privately depending on the individual teachers' availability. Just send us a wee message and we'd be happy to see what we can arrange.
